Liposuction is usually performed using a local/spinal/general anaesthesia. You may be treated as a day-care patient or be required to stay in the hospital for one night. This will depend on the technique chosen by the surgeon and the amount of fat that needs to be removed.

Areas operated on can include the abdomen, thighs, buttocks, and backs of the arms.

Liposuction can be performed on several areas of the body at the same time, and can be used in conjunction with other cosmetic surgery procedures.

  • Fat is removed by first inserting a small, hollow tube (called a Cannula) through one or more tiny incisions.
  • The cannula is connected to a vacuum pressure unit (liposuction) or syringe (Liposculpture).

Other Options

LASER-Assisted liposuction: Advance LASER-Assisted Liposuction uses a powerful laser to melt the membranes of each fat cell, causing them to break down with minimum tissue damage, meaning faster recovery. Main benefit of Laser liposuction is “It gives excellent skin tightening”

Ultrasound-Assisted liposuction: In Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction the fat melting is by ultrasound. Ultrasound melt only fat cells, it won’t damage arteries, veins, nerves. There is very little trauma, so has the fastest and smoothest recovery.
